At our Korean Desserts and Tea Cafe, we are dedicated to bringing the authentic flavors of Korean desserts and tea to our community. Inspired by our travels and experiences in Asia, we aim to offer a modern and elegant cafe experience focused on traditional Korean delicacies.
What is Bingsu?
At ASEL, Bingsu is our signature Korean shaved ice dessert, crafted with ultra-fine, snow-soft ice that melts instantly on the tongue. Each bowl is layered with fresh fruit, premium toppings, and delicate flavors for a refreshing, modern twist on a beloved Korean classic. Light, beautiful, and satisfying.

Must try new spot called Asel! Went to their soft opening not just one day, but both days because it a sooo good! The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, the owners Sani & Eric are charming and their team is so helpful, but most of all, the ingredients are fresh and delicious! I had their Strawberry Croffle, Oreo Croffle, Taro Bingsu and Strawberry Bingsu. All four just melt in your mouth with just the perfect amount of sweetness.
I will be coming back for more!

And for matcha lovers, don’t miss the Pink Matcha! It’s as beautiful as it is delicious. What makes it even more special is the hospitality; the owner Sani Choocherd Cha is incredibly lovely and takes such wonderful care of every guest. You definitely won’t be disappointed with the service here. If you’re looking for a refined atmosphere with treats that show genuine heart and attention to detail, this is the place. Highly recommended!
This place is definitely worth a visit. A great selection of bingsu and match lattes and the flavors of the bingsu was to die for! Authentic Korean Bingsus are hard to find in Chicagoland and so glad that we finally have a place every time I get a crave.
The ambience is perfect to hang out, catch up with friends over specialty lattes, or just enjoy a relaxing dessert break. I’d recommend stopping by and meeting the sweet owners and staff!
